THE ORGAN
A brass plate near the organ records that it was donated by the congregation in 1876 in memory of the late Rector, George Bale, who served the Parish as Rector for almost 40 years, and was responsible for the restoration and rebuilding of the church in 1870. The organ was built by J.W. Walker, one of the first and best organ makers in the country.   It is in very good condition, with many original parts.  When built it stood in the Chancel, occupying much of the space now used as the vestry.   It was moved in the 1980s to its present position under the tower, with a significant improvement in the acoustics.

THE REREDOS
THE REREDOS, of Cosmati work,  mosaic and Derbyshire marble, was installed in 1885, being paid for by the Rector.      It is an attractive but simple design.   On a summer evening the setting sun, shining through the large West Window, picks out the reflective inlays, so that the whole Reredos becomes a  dazzling sheen of shimmering gold.
