Report on the proceedings of the Parochial Church Council in 2007
The PCC met six times in 2007 chaired by the Rector.  The Community Facility was approved.  Lent lunches, Easter harvest and Christmas dates were all agreed and implemented.
The Family Service continued on the first Sunday of every month.  Special Family Services were held on Mothering Sunday and Christmas Eve  The Children take a major role in these services.
Fundraising continues to supplement the church income. The Fête was particularly successful despite the weather.
Changing lives/changing churches discussions continued about local grouping.
Links with All Saints Primary School continued through Governor/PCC links and the Head Teacher writing in the newsletter.
Maintenance of the Churchyard is ongoing and a contractor (Tony Doble) has been appointed.  The Church has been very lucky not to suffer damage due to the storms this year - only some tree branches have been blown down.  Thanks must go to Gordon Holland who clears rubbish, branches, etc. From the churchyard.
Nan & John Worledge continue their good work both inside and outside the church, including flower beds, borders and paths etc.
T hanks must also go to all the others who contribute to the maintenance and life of the Church:-
The bell ringers - the sound of the bells is enjoyed by so many people and they also remember and put up all the items and flags which are displayed on the Tower.
The cleaners - who continue to work very hard - especially as more are still needed.  If enough people volunteer they are only required to work one hour a month!
The flowers in the Church are still lovely and although the number of arrangements has been reduced they are still good and thanks go to all the members who do them.
The organist and musicians who play at the services, especially the new young musicians at Family service
And of course the organizers and arrangers of the family Service which is so enjoyable and popular.
Lastly but but no means least thanks go to John our Rector  who continues his good work and keeps our Church alive.
